- Applications are invited to the Sustainable Development Fund for new projects in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
- This year’s Stour and Orwell Estuary Management Group Forum will take place on Thursday 3rd July, and will focus on ‘Access and the estuaries’. An important feature of the event and will be the publication of new research about the relationship between human recreation and bird disturbance on the two rivers.
- Today sees the launch of a new Management Plan for the Suffolk Coast and Heaths, the officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) stretching from Kessingland to the Stour estuary. It is part of the family of protected landscapes that make up Britain’s finest countryside.

The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is one of Britain’s finest landscapes. Located on the coast of East Anglia, it covers 150 square miles and includes wildlife-rich wetlands, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic towns and villages.
